I can never understand why this "side project" being The Creatures is/was a mistake to some people. I mean, I guess it's just a preference thing when compared to Siouxsie and the Banshees, but I find The Creatures' music to be absolutely stellar, moving and inventive - totally unique and exceptional! I prefer Siouxsie and the Banshees throughout the years, in general, but this is just wicked cool stuff and should not be condemned.

Just about everything I've heard by The Creatures could have been recorded by The Doors. Of their two most famous numbers, I can almost hear Jim Morrison crooning, "See..them..standing.... See...them...standing....", and Ray Manzarek playing marimba on 'Miss The Girl', like he did on 'I Can't See Your Face in My Mind'. 'Standing There' would have fit in perfectly beside 'Touch Me' on The Soft Parade, while 'Miss The Girl' would have sounded great on Strange Days. The Creatures? Great group!
