I guess i am one of the lucky few that had the privilege of being in his presence,he was on a photo shoot in my studio. My niece aged 5 at the time was the luckiest,he sat with her and they talked about her coloring book and pencils, she quizzed him on who he really was, told him how much she liked his songs and it was the sweetest thing to see.Something i will never forget :)

Many years ago, I was working in RAK studios, in London. The Banshees were in to record. I was absolutely blown away by Siouxsie and Budgie. Two of the most stunning, sensitive, artists I have ever met. I really felt honoured to have met and worked for them.

I'd have sold my soul to hear Jeff Buckley perform Killing Time a capella. Why did he have to leave us. He was the best.

Back in the early 90s in Milwaukee, Siouxi and the Banshees played a concert at UWM and after the show, me and my girlfriend snuck backstage to try to get an autograph. A pizza guy delivered a pizza to their dressing room and we could hear them chatting while they ate. Then after a half hour or so they came out and even though we kind of surprised them, they were so nice to us and stayed there and talked and joked with us for a good 10 minutes. Her and Budgie are 2 of the nicest, most down to earth people you would ever meet. Souixie if you're reading this and remember it, thank you.

The tension is killing me..almost a minute combined intro and outro, for this three and a half minute little clip . Anyway..finally get why budgie got his nickname..so it had its use.

What I find fascinating and - this will doubtless attract some haters to whom I probably won't respond, as this is not intended as anything but a respectful observation ... but in her late 50's it's interesting to note that Siouxsie has now reverted to being a relaxed, 'normal' woman from Kent. Her Dad was apparently a terrible alcoholic and this I think (thankfully) set her on her path to an 'outside' life in Punk. Do I think that she would have been involved with Punk (which by the way she says was NOT popular- in 1976 anyway; empty venues) and breaking the world record for taking electric shocks from car batteries (as she apparently did in Mexico or Texas, can't remember which)? No. I'm glad, almost, that her estranged childhood occurred because she reacted by creating an art form! However, that behind her, she is now doing the most revolutionary thing possible - retiring her anxieties and returning to Suburban Kent (mentally if not geographically). She has returned in some ways, to what she once (rightfully) abhorred, but it is now age-appropriate and psychically appropriate ... a "return to Kent, already in progress." (Curiously the world which was so far behind her has left Kent! She pretty much has the suburbs to herself; stop to think - that's pretty Punk! )
