The Contrasts, featuring Bob Morrison, great hard-to-find 60's tune on Monument label. Enjoy!

This record had quite a lot of plays on Radio 1 and 2 in the UK in 1968 over the late April/May period. These stations have millions of listeners so it is a surprise that it didn't chart over here. Good sound and I've always liked it.Takes me back to my teenage years!

It's possible the song only received airplay in a few test markets. I lived in the Boston area, which was probably one of them. It should have fared better, but apparently it didn't. If I remember right, it charted in Boston, I think even top 40.

After an intensive search I found out that this wondferful song did enter the Billboard charts for 2 weaks in Apr 13/20 1968: 120 (123) WHAT A DAY The Contrasts Featuring Bob Morrison (Monument) Not top 40, even not top 100, but still a place in the charts.

I get so excited. I was searching this song for years without knowing the name of the band that sang it, but until today I coudn't find it because there are so many songs with this title and this one is quite unknown. Now the search is over and after more than 40 years I'm listening to this song again and again. Thank you RM.
