I've come across this song before. Credit is given to a "Heaney." However, in the same album "Heaney" is again given credit, though the song is obviously a different singer. Don't know if it is a last name, or refers to a group, or studio. Hope that points yall in the right direction though.

This recording has been incorrectly identified as 'The Clancy Brothers'. Listen to the accent!!! A strong hint of the Dublin accent coming through. Secondly - Listen to the instruments! And finally the voice lacks the velvet quality of the Clancy brothers

That is definitely not The Clancy Brothers. Unfortunately they never recorded this song as the Clancy Brothers. Tommy Makem did record it and I heard a rumor at least that Liam and one of his sons recorded it along with another guy but I've never found it.
