This is not a DEMO, it is a monitor mix. And BTW the entire Candy-O album including the two outtakes are available in this form. The main differences would be the lack of lead guitar parts, different keyboard mix, no backing vocals, and some of Ben's vocals are slightly different. Also, the tape box lists "Let's Go" as " Night Life Baby" and "It's All I Can Do" as "One Too Many Times". The only circulating Candy-O demo I'm aware of is a 4:43 version of "Let's Go" that Ric posted when he started his website.

Some different lyrics in there. Mix is different, I hear the keyboards more, guitar less processed, solo not punched in yet at 1:35. Great version.

No better song in history from 2:22 to the end. Period..

I love this version i just wish they strung out the ending like they do on the original. The ending part is the best.

Alex, the difference is no guitar solo in the middle and the keys are different in the back ground. I have heard this song a few hundred times. They dont carry out the repetative ending (which is my fav part of the song). It is my favorite cars song of all time by far. Ok not by far but at the top for sure. Moving in Stereo is a close second.

Can someone please tell me the difference? This sounds just like the real thing.

uh HUH. So it's URAnium lover. Always thought it was geranium lover. That doesn't make sense but I guess I never noticed that much. The keys on the chorus sound too much like a doorbell. People would have been getting up to answer the door in vain gazillions of times, had they released this one instead.

I don't think this is, strictly speaking, a "demo". It sounds like an early mix of the tracks that would eventually form the finished version (of course, Ric's vocal is not the final version). I love hearing the rhythm guitar part in the chorus, it's SO low in the final mix. VERY interesting listening, thank you very much for posting it!!!

>only complaint is the song is too short, but that's cuz i can never get enough of that outro -- 3:11 is, for me, the most exciting moment in all of music I love that you can nail the exact time of your favorite moment! This outro does indeed transport the listener, with David's amazing drum variations ("drum rolls" sounds too fancy). The song makes me think of the last day of the school year. Such a good feeling, on that day, everyone happy. I felt I'd even miss the snobbish, "popular" kids!

I'm three years older than you, sir, so I'm not exactly ready for the local nursing home just yet. Good idea to follow your cat's advice; cats are surprisingly smart and perceptive animals.

Ouch! Sounds like I struck a nerve. You must have spent hours composing that message. It seems to me that you have a serious problem with reality - just what makes you think that you are more intelligent than me - your use of CAPS, your obscenities, your laughably belligerent attitude (I'll bet you're all of 4'6" with a pecker like a pencil - posting crude comments to anyone that disagrees with you to show what a "big" man you are). You never did tell me what race you are - afraid to big man?
