While JA's version is perhaps more realized, this version has a very sexy groove.

It is saying something indeed. It's saying that Grace is the best singer ever to grace this planet

The song was inspired by Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange Land"...the record execs didn't like it.

I like it but think The airplane's version is better. I think Grace sings it better which is saying something because Crosby was/is a truly fantastic singer. She sounds more relaxed/beguiling/convincing as regarding the subject matter of the song .As for being 'possibly the best song ever written about polyamory' maybe it's the only song written about polyamory . I dunno. 'Love the one you're with' What does anybody else think?

This song is included on CSN&Y's 4-Way-Street album, but it's different....sadder really. I heard somewhere that it was written by Crosby about the fact that both he and Steven Stills were in love with Joni Mitchell at the same time. True?....I don't know but makes a good story.
