It's a backing track for 'semi' live situations. Or it's a practice track. Or it's a composition tool...here take this and go write some lyrics!

Interesting. It seems like wherever the harmony vocals would come in there is no rhythm guitar. Doesn't make much sense as they were not on the same track. I remember the additional symbols. You could hear that on record on one of the 2 stereo channels. They did a similar hi-hat overdub on The Word.
