This was not intended for American Spring to be honest with you I just came up with the Lyric to California Feelin and brought them to Brian .IT was created hopefully with the Beach Boys with Brian doing the lead. .I loved doing the Friends album .Before i met the Beach Boys i was leaning spiritually in the direction of Feeling California it was like the promise land for me not only in its hope for a future but of its reality of survival being bus boy and working in a gas station.Dropping out of college and all the things i would not advise someone to do .It was totally inspired .When Brian put the music too it he grasped in notes my feelings and the song was born really in the studio Brian out of my words poem lyric on a stand and spontaneously created the track the original .H e picked the lines he wants dot use left on or two out and California materialized became hearable .Doe that answer some of it.There is a lot more.It was inspired it was about physical and spiritual and hopeful patch of earth that we call the Sunny State of California peace Stevie

I keep finding myself returning to this video since it popped up out of nowhere last month, a nice surprise as someone else put it. I really miss the greatness that was 2012 and C50, wish I could have caught them again when they swung back around my area at the end of the tour but I'll always cherish seeing Brian, Mike, Al, Bruce & Dave at the Raleigh C50 show w/my daughter (and the SC State Fair show in `01 w/Mike & Bruce was great too.) First time I watched I kept hoping for a cameo of one or all of the boys in there somewhere, (like a surprise re-reunion they'd somehow managed to keep a secret lol) but its a cool video and greatly appreciated regardless. I'll always love this band. :)
