The girls played only their pre-1984 music--like this--at last month's Paisley Underground reunion shows. IT. WAS. EXCELLENT.

I have this EP and it's still one of my favorite records ever. FYI, this song is also featured on the Children of Nuggets box set.

I later became the roommate of Annette, (bass player, singer)...actually her boyfriend she'd lived with for two years on Moorpark st. in Studio City. I had her room and bathroom for only $350.00 per month. Can you imagine how cheap that is??

Yea I used to play this on my college radio show WESS East Stroudsburg, PA back in 85 or 86. Then couldnt find it again anywhere until youtube comes along. Thanks for posting. Reminds me of Run For Your Life by the Beatles

@MrVinalmagic The Bangles have always acknowledged their roots and in turn wrote and performed songs true to themselves and their talents. Compared to where they were when they started to today is a drastic change, but they always perform as professionals which they are and always provide a crowd pleasing performance including this song.

Truly magnificent. This song (and the EP) were truly their high point. I can remember buying this on cassette in the early 80's and listening to it religiously. They were the Mod goddesses back then. Wonderful memories, thanks for posting.

@chiliinsocal Well, they probably thought they had to do it to persevere in the 80's. You know how it was ? The punk & underground scene of then didn't last and they weren't likely going to make their "big break", so to speak, and get played on MTV and national top 40 radio right alongside Micheal Jackson, Madona, Def Lepard, Phill Collins, Huey Lewis, Bon Jovi and the like with THIS musical sound.
