James Waynes made the original recording of Junco Partner for Bob Shad's Sittin' In With Records in 1951. Joe Strummer was covering that song. The best live version by Joe was the Jamaica World Music Festival in 1982 (its on Street Rats). The sickest studio version of Junco Partner by The Clash was recorded by Joe for Sandinista! released on CBS Records in 1980 (on which there's the Version Pardner take... which is off the chain) ... buy a clash record. R.I.P. Joe Strummer [John Graham Mellor b. 21 August 1952 – 22 d. December 2002]. Here's to the bloody rebellion.
