What gear is not shown. You get a good "honkey tonk" rip tone. That goose  sound. It isnt the guitar. Your pink Tele does it also.

Sure, they had pedals back then and a bunch of guys used them before 1969. Hendrix used Fuzz Face, Octavia, wah, etc. Clapton used a wah, fuzz. The Yardbirds used distortion pedals. Even Keith used a distortion pedal on Satisfaction and that was 1965. I tend not to use pedals or effects, though.

That was great, man. Amazing tone on that guitar. What effects are you using? Obviously distortion, reverb. But I was just curious what exactly you have on there. It sounds exactly like Keith's tone, and I'd imagine in those days it was just whatever gain they could get on the amp. I don't think they had all the pedals and stuff then, did they? Oh, are you tuned in his famous tuning or is it regular tuning?

Hey man, you got great hands,,your right hand "Floats like and butterfly", your "Left stings like a bee." You play great. I'm a bass player (by an act of fate), I picked up my first Paul, learning how to play my first "guit-fiddle". Thnx for the lesson. If you're in L.A. and up for an instrumental type band, Jeff Beck, etc,, I'd love to put something together.. John..
