Reading these lyrics, just makes me think about how Congo affected Deryck. He went from being snarky, snotty pop-punk front-man to a angry, pessimistic adult perplexed ranting while being frustrated and confused about a world gone wrong. You can tell from the lyrics that this song from the verses that this song is about the futility of a mundane life (the standard life we all live in) and the chorus is about questioning the point of going through it again and again and the bridge has the narrator wondering why others are not realizing what he saw and understanding how the mundane life affects others and how it is the source of many problems for people. ("I see right through what's killing you"). The structure of the lyrics makes it look like the narrator is arguing with another person about this.
