First album I ever bought back in 1972; still one of my favourites. For me, Blue Weaver fits the band better than Wakeman did. This track is one of my favourites on the album along with Benedictus, The Flower and the Young Man and Queen of Dreams, but every track is first class.Sadly, i was at their gig last week and only 50 turned up. Sure it was a bad night, but I drove a long way to see them, so York can hang its head in shame for ignoring this great band. They were brilliant.

Are there two albums with purple "girl friend" covers? I have one,(McDonald And Giles)  which has Ian with his girlfriend  on one side, and Michael with his wife on the other. What is the other album?

Michael Giles always inspired me because of his having been able to combine the concepts of jazz drumming and utilize this in his playing rock and roll. Now my favourite out takes of his were definitely from"Court..." but also the album he did with Peter Giles and Mel Collins.I call it the purple girl- friend cove.r He is a phenomenal drummer, definitely in my top ten- and I am a jazz player, mostly. Great work with Anthony Phillips ex Genesis guitarists. Thnx.

I must ask for forgiveness. I learned to play drums to this album along with a couple others: Led Zeppelin 4; Dark Side of the Moon; Aqualung, and Electric Lady Land- 1983...(in particular). This was the one song that influenced my technique and my improvisational skills(due to the musical complexity of this album and this song in particular), more than all the other drummers I inferred in the above list. I can only see this looking back on 35 years as a drummer. Eye opening. Thanks.

One of the great anti-war songs from, arguably, their best album.

Great song, great lyrics(yes, quite rare these days...) Absolute genius, the whole"grave new world"album! Standing on top of a lonely hill in the presence of "dark side","aqualung","forever changes"etc...( a few masterpieces to mention..., along with Van Gogh, Ensor, Da Vinci, Caravaggio!)

@fatbill717 Considering all the crap that's out there nowadays, yes. I'm afraid so. But many of us will never forget, never lose the passion. We must keep it alive!
