A popular mainstay at live gigs this version of Roots Radicals Rockers and Reggae was recored on the 1999 hope Street Tour. Not one of my favourite SLF songs but it's better played live and fast like this version!

They are just very very good. Not remembered by some(who cares) for their incredible contribution to music but loved(really loved)by all those who connected to them and carry the songs in their heads and hearts. Love this song.

I met Bruce Foxton and Jake Burns i think it was, in Palma Airport in the early nineties. I was broke and alone and asked for a cigarette , Jake told me to fuck off but called me back and they came over and Bruce gave me a ciggy . I never said i knew who they were though i'd loved SLF since before the reunion in the 80's.

Every time time I hear this song it takes me back to 1981, when my cousin turned on the ignitiion and we drove off to gigs or parties on saturday nites, Go For it was on constant rotation in his Golf 1 and since it's the opening song........
