When I was a little boy, my father had the job to escort a new adult solo artist around the small Island of Jamaica. He brought him to our house and he and my brother Raymond fooled around on the piano. He left us some albums and one of them was Talking Book. I was forced to listen to these songs along with a couple others he has yet to release. We liked reggae and had to get used to Stevie. Now 40+ years later, this album evokes so many fond memories. Our frineds used to make fun of us because we loved SW so much, now most of them have acknowledged him as the genius he is. This is one of the most covered album in his collection. He goes from one genre to the next. This and Hotter Than July demonstrates the magic of SW! From Superstition to I Believe. From Master Blaster to Lately. Hope to meet him again someday. SW the soundtrack of my life.
