"Golden Lady"

Stevie Wonder -- lead vocal, piano, drums, Moog bass, T.O.N.T.O. synthesizer

Clarence Bell -- Hammond organ

Ralph Hammer -- acoustic guitar

Larry "Nastyee" Latimer -- congas

Looking in your eyes

Kind of heaven eyes

Closing both my eyes

Waiting for surprise

To see the heaven in your eyes is not so far

'Cause I'm not afraid to try and go it

To know the love and the beauty never known before

I'll leave it up to you to show it

And golden lady, golden lady I'd like to go there

Golden lady, golden lady I'd like to go there

Take me right away

Looking at your hands

Hands can understand

Waiting for the chance

Just to hold your hand

A touch of rain and sunshine made the flower grow

Into a lovely smile that's blooming

And it's so clear to me that you're a dream come true

There's no way that I'll be losing

And golden lady, golden lady I'd like to go there

Golden lady, golden lady

I'd like to go there

Take me right away

A touch of rain and sunshine made the flower grow

Into a lovely smile that's blooming

And it's so clear to me that you're my dream come true

There is no way that I'll be losing

And golden lady, golden lady I'd like to go there

Golden lady, golden lady I'd like to go there

And golden lady, golden lady I'd like to go there

Golden lady, golden lady I'd like to go there

And golden lady, golden lady I'd like to go there

Golden lady, golden lady I'd like to go there ...

Beautiful & inspiring love song from the master musical craftsman... There's not a note, chord, or melody from Stevie Wonder that isn't honed to perfection... I'm no musician but if I were I bet I'd appreciate it even more...

had the great priviledge of seeing him in 1973... magical, other worldly... any music or musician that can evoke such strong emotions,( after all these years this song always brings tears to my eyes) is a true genius... he is a modern Bodhisattva..thank u for posting this album...

Heard this song at work yesterday, which brought me here. Took me a while to find it, because I thought he was saying "Golden Days", lol.

Just listen to some Stevie and your musical IQ will increase. His use of beautiful, rich chords and melodies is like a master class in harmony. Creepin' is one of my favourites.

Disc jockeys or program hosts might say "Give it up for.........................." In an arm wrestling contest, the one about to win the contest might scream out at the one about to be defeated "Give it up, loser". Well, in this case, song # 3255 is from a performer who I have been giving it up for (in the first sense of the phrase, you see) since 1963 when his name was preceded by the word "little". Yes, everyone should know by now that I am referring to Stevie Wonder. This selection is from his phenomenal "Innervisions" collection and is the third song in the last fifteen or so with the word "golden" in the title. From Stevie Wonder, at # 3255, "Golden Lady".
