What I want to say has ALREADY been expressed by others here BUT I must say that ,being a teenager when this song came out, and being against the Vietnam War , for all the reasons expressed in THIS song, NOW as a College teacher, I use THIS song to expose my students to the REPETITION of American intrusion into other country's political situations by letting them hear how MY generation saw and EXPRESSED it's "disapproval" of how our political leaders were involving US in situations that were none of our business. (so many of our Musicians saw this and were ignored). Thanks for posting this important statement of OUR times. RVC

Yep, the good old boys the Political party GOES BY THE NAME OF THE GOP...They were trying to tear America down,They created a war on drugs (to include marijuana how convenient)  and put thousands of us in jail, Nixon tried to stop The Revolution lol, for merely smoking a joint you got jail!? And they've been at it since Richard Milhouse ( I am not a crook) NIXON. You think its worse than the 60's today? We ended a War. We saved thousands of our Brothers and Sisters from dying FOR NOTHING. And ILLEGAL WAR LIKE IRAQ! We changed the Country but we didn't take it to the next level, We all grew up,  got jobs, but many have fought the system from within since. Freedom and Justice you do recall? The American way.I would say GET UP GET TO FERGUSON, MO. and its there they need AMERICANS.. FERGUSON. Like to see that police force humbled. Go ahead GOVERNOR call the Guard out. Will that be the end of it? Wouldn't be the first or last time they would have done so on the people of America. Solidarity is the ONLY answer. Stay vigilant. Suffering yes you may, they'll be some of that. But change doesn't come easy. We are good at fighting KINGS and Tyrants! So America lets get to it again. Make them cry uncle,... SOBsAre you not SICK of the senseless killing/s of Black Americans?!  YOU NEED TO GO TO THE STREETS OF FERGUSON MISSOURI! FIGHT TILL THE OBAMA GOVERNMENT SENDS HELP TO STOP THE WHITE MAN'S POLICE FORCE, AND JUSTICE IS SERVED.. I was there for this concert.  Lot of good acts.  Had to be the most Chaotic concert I was ever at.   My buddy and I took the Tubes over from NJ,  just in time to see a dramatic Suicide (for real, not the song) by fire in Times Square,  so were were a bit traumatized by the whole experience.
