This is Deja Vu's live cover version of Steely Dan's 'Kid Charlemagne' the song that featured as the first track on their 1976 Album 'The Royal Scam' with the superb lead soloing played by Larry Carlton. It was released as a single in the same year but only reached no.82 in the U.S.Charts , which we personally find a bit hard to understand .. but there you go . Hope you enjoy . Thanks if you watched anyway - Les and John xx

P.S. Video and sound was courtesy of Ben Robertson spending time with us armed with his Panasonic Lumix FZ200 and Rode Stereo Videomic Pro . Thank you Ben.

Great job guys. KC is such a fun tune. The guitar solos are just spectacular and you did them justice. You're fortunate to have such talent to play with. The backing vox are great and the second guitarist is fantastic. The rhythm he provides for your solos is spot on.

Yes, well done. So many bands just flail and wail on this song I sometimes swear to never listening to another cover. This was a pleasant surprise. We SD fans are a discerning lot. Our praise is hard to earn but I give mine wholeheartedly.
