From a 1988 concert, in which Larry performs some of his famous guitar solos. You'll hear those from:

- The theme to the television series "Hill Street Blues"

- Kid Charlemagne (Steely Dan composition)

- Don't Take Me Alive (another Steely Dan composition)

- Put It Where You Want It (The Crusaders).

Gives me the chills, listening to those licks and realizing that my fav SD solos were from the great Larry Carlton. Thank you Larry for the hours and years of listening pleasure.

Love this!!! It is too bad he didn't include the theme song from Magnum P.I. as he was the guitar soloist in it.

Once again, the stupid directors and film editors TOTALLY screw it up. This is an iconic guitar solo! Who cares what the drummer is doing? Photograph and focus on Larry Carlton's hands, for Pete's sake!

What a skilled guitarist. Larry loves what he does and it shows. This is so classy. "Thank you Larry for sharing your gift of guitar with the world."

The sound of The Royal Scam. Larry's guitar is the major force on this album, unusual for a session guy to really stand out on any Steely Dan album. Also don't forget the solo from "Everything You Did"... where Donald name-checks the Eagles, around the same time the Eagles sang "They stab it with their STEELY knives but they just can't kill the beast".

I think this Larry guy deserves a better Steely Dan place. What's the personal issue here. Donald versus Larry OR Walter versus Larry. Talent and record sales deserve a semblance of recognition.
