Property of Fogarty's Cove Music.

I didn't notice the dead air at the end of song until some time after I uploaded it. The song is supposed to be approximately four minutes long. There must have been an error when it was either ripped from the CD, made into a video or when I posted it on youtube. I would like to upload it again with the proper version and delete this one but I didn't want to mess up any links people may have to this version.

The first few times in went to Halifax, in the '70s, it was a small city. The evening rush traffic was only from 1700 to 1730. The last time I was there, 1997, I could see that it was growing. Now, according to the almanac and atlas, it is a pretty good sized city.

This track always gives me goosebumps. I may be a Yank, but when the bonfire is lit and the guitars come out, Stan Rogers is the go to. Nobody else does it like this, and nobody ever will.

Sad to refer to people who have not heard of Stan as Stupid. When I moved to PEI I met a couple of Stan's relatives. They recognized that Stan had not lived or traveled enough for everyone to know of him. They became our friends and gently introduced us to Stan's excelling quality something I would have missed or ejected if approached with an aggressive accusation. Lets be positive Stan would want it that way.

In the short time he lived, he couldn't make it to everywhere in Canada. I know of so many people who would've loved to have seen him play that are just learning of his music now, including a group of young singers in Medicine Hat and some folks up in Temiskaming Shores. There are new people to the East Coast who don't know of him either. So for you all who've been listening to him all along, keep talking about him. He's a great reminder of what it is to be Canadian.

I first heard of Stan Rogers when my teacher played Barrett's Privateers. He's an amazing musician.

I remember hearing this on an ATV Interlude, which only my fellow Maritimers would have a clue what I'm referring to when I say that. It's funny how something means absolutely nothing to you as a kid that's like discovering hidden treasure to you as an adult.

There are 3 types of Canadians. Those who love Stan Rogers, those who haven't heard of Stan Rogers, and those who are stupid.
