He try to remove them because of their album cover. Fred Durst thought Staind were Satan worshippers.

It was whether they would make another heavy album or not, and they did.

they werent wrong. staind (the album) has a significantly different sound than tormented and dysfunction.

Tormented is staind's first album is freaking awesome with only 4000 copies originally sold. How can Fred Durst say no to a awesome band like staind . Why did he try to remove them. What offended him please let me know In my opinion tormented is a fantastic album by staind & come again is the stand out track of the tormented album in my opinion. If anyone knows why Fred Durst tried to remove staind please let me know or answers on a postcard please.

It's actually funny how you wasted 15 seconds of your life with such a pointless comment. And sad that I wasted 15 seconds of mine with such an unnecessary reply.

funny how they put out a heavy album last year that completely contradicts this, yet it is still top comment.

And I'm happy to say I was partly wrong because it's a great album. But I've seen countless interviews with them explaining how difficult it was to write that album. Basically for the reasons I said.

I like how this comment got thumbs up and Staind did come out with another heavy album. This person was wrong

I DO miss this side of Staind some, but u don't get it. Reality-based emotion & reality-based meaning/lyrics is what fuels Staind's music. They all have happy lives now w/ families, so very few things still make them angry. But listen 2 last year's album/watch the documentary. -Getting back to more of their aggressive roots & stuff made it the most difficult writing/recording experience they've ever dealt with for a CD. -Lost their drummer. But they missed rockin' out/shoving Metal down throats.

to rock it out, but I think he also gets tired of all-out metalheads like you that can't respect them because they don't always try to make heavy music. Their lives have changed so much, & they're not those angry/aggressive young adults anymore that have anger & sadness left over from their childhood/pre-adulthood, either. Aaron was often ignored & felt alone growing up, but now he has a wife & family of his own. But Mike Mushok the guitarist, for example, said he can't listen to Tormented now.

And I suggest you study up on Staind more and quit bitching on them because they don't always play your type of music. Aaron uses music for his emotions, and for getting shit off his chest. He recognizes the ability to powerfully express himself in many forms. Any true Staind fan knows that. He didn't just grow up listening to Metal. He likes all types of music. He recently said he wants to keep Staind for more of his heavy stuff, and his solo career for more softer stuff, though. He still wants

Man, did you not even hear last year's album? Sure, it's not quite "brutal" like Tormented Staind, but it is for today's standards. It's their heaviest album since at least Dysfunction. Staind's always had a large variety of style influences, & even when Tormented came out, they still had appreciation for some softer music. But even on Tormented, listen to 4 Walls. They never even set out to just play hardcore Metal music all the time. They're a versatile artist that does justice to all music.

then i may suggest you quit bitching about Disturbed, because at least they still make heavy music.
