Brian May nar. 19. júla 1947 v Twickenhame v Londýne spev, solová gitara ako mladežník hral v skupine The Others, ktorá v Uk a v USA vydala u spoločnosti Fontana pieseň Oh Yeah.V roku 1967 vytvoril skupinu SMILE s Rogerom Meddows-Taylorom nar. 26. júla 1949 v King´s Lynn v Norfolku bicie a s Timom Staffelom nar. 24. februara 1948 v Ealingu basová gitara s ktorým sa May zoznámil na Imperial College.V roku 1969 skupina v USA vydala u spoločnosti Earth.V lete 1970 odišiel Staffell do skupiny Humpy Bong, ktorú vytvoril bývalý člen Bee Gees Cilina Petersona. Jeho zásluhou zostavu doplnil Freddie Mercury vl.m. Farouk Bulsara nar. 5. septembra 1946 na Zanzibare. Mercury v tom období spieval v skupine Wreckage.Vo februari 1971 trojicu doplnil John Deacon nar. 19. augusta 1951 v Leicestri basová gitara.Nová zostava zmenila názov na QUEEN.10 years ago

I'm addicted to this song. Why can't Smile reunite? I prefer Tim's voice to Paul's, and I think his voice mixes better with Roger and Brian's voices too... AND they wouldn't have 50% of a band playing with a name that suggests that the whole band is present.12 years ago
