I was on a flight back home from London,England this past summer listening to this song on my ipod when i looked out of the plane window and saw this blur of lights from the city shining below me. I thought to myself, "wow, this city is so small compared to the rest of the world. If this city is so small, one single person really makes little to no difference to the rest of the world" I then thought about how little difference it would make if I killed myself, yes it would affect a small circle of people around me, but compared to the whole world, its not that many people. But as soon as I thought that, the line came on to this song and said " how rare and beautiful it is to even exist" and now whenever I hear this song, especially that line, my eyes fill with tears. so ryan o'neal of sleeping at last, i am forever grateful for this song. your words and music touch my heart to such an immense degree and for that i can't thank you enough, yourself and your mind are so beautiful x
