@skintrade - Duran duran was just faggier, and rockers like slade were getting dated by that time. But you gave me goose bumps when i read they didn't give in easily. Maybe!!!! Maybe, hear me out, Slade should have brought the synth player onto the stage with them. Not having it made the mime performances seem incongruous during their synth heavy single such as Miszter jones and Little Sheila.

To be honest i just like 2 songs of Duran Duran. One in the 80's is Hungry like the wolf and the other in the 90's is Ordinary World. I think Slade is better in a long run 'cause their music are more diversified in a good way while Duran Duran is a pop not quite rock not quite electronic not really band

@skintrade Slade had an image problem they had to fight against. Duran Duran looked more "cool". People are usually fooled by issues like image and by the media. The truth is, that Slade made fabulous records in the 80s and continuously evolved during their entire careers. Slade s music has more depth and variety in styles than Duran Duran. If you know you are briliant band like Slade, why give in? They had lots of fun making SUPURB music. Best and most versatile UK band ever.

@skintrade What do you mean? In sales records yes, but that says nothing becoz Slade are MUCH better than Duran Duran and have created a shitload of real tunes in a large variety of pop/rock styles. Best UK band ever IMHO
