Ken, if you naturally have a soft (low) voice when you speak and sing, how can you sing louder? Also, is it possible that the same techniques that help you sing louder will be helpful in speaking louder as well without straining the voice?

Hey Ken, thanks for all the videos "How to sing like". You are amazing, I especially enjoy your cover of "She's Gone", I get chills when I listen the vocals only. When I use the bright timbre for the "A" vowel I somehow close my throat and can't go higher than E4. When I open my throat and lift up the soft palate then I sound a bit deeper and "dopey" even though the resonance is better. Is there some tip to help with this issue?

Hello Ken TamplinI just wanted to ask if it's okay that when I do the AH vowel, with the tongue at the base of the jaw and the throat open, there is a muscle under my jaw that comes down, not tensed or anything, its very relaxed but it comes down just a little bit. Is that okay ? Thanks !

It's going to be a while to save up as I'm on a business admin training course, aka unemployed but I'm already decent at singing, just after more control over my voice and want a better range of techniques and of course more pitch range! Also I'm mainly a rapper but little things like opening the throat up and using the diaphragm go a long way so I'll be getting it soon enough!.. Got a rap mentor on the go at the minute too who's an underground pro :) - I'm in the UK.

Love your singing Ken, will get your course, once this years hayfever season is over. I was brought up the same rock stuff you were, other than Bon Scott AC/DC stuff, my Rock repertoire is limited, improvement would be great. Would love to hear you examine Tom Jones, Michael Bubble and if not pushing it Pavarotti.
