Studio Version
Lyrics:
When you're weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all
I'm on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you
I'll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Sail on Silver Girl,
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind

The year, 2015, has been a brutally rough, difficult, emotionally trying & hard, mindblowing in a bad & horrible way year for me. I've also seen too many people this year verbally attacking each other, judging people, saying and doing horrible things to other people, spreading negative and unglowing words and gossip about other people, getting other people to isolate and have some people not have friends anymore, etc. I've just honestly seen too much ugliness, nastiness, meanspiritedness, people playing games with one another, people backstabbing & doing deceptive, secretive, trust violating stuff to one another. I think 2015 has honestly been the year I've been through the most emotional hurt & pain. People I least expected to deeply hurt me ended up hurting me in a big and major way. When I saw the "Jurassic World" movie yesterday, I honestly was sad to see some of the dinosaurs physically attacking or sometimes killing one another. To me, all those dinosaur scenes represented metaphorically what I've been seeing a lot this year. It deeply hurts my mind, spirit, heart, & soul to see people causing pain & hurt to others.Regarding my ex-boyfriend - Yes, he has done many hurtful things to me over the years, especially this year. He has also hurt other people. At the same time, I hate it & dislike it that some people are attacking him recently & getting people to not talk to him and in a way telling them to not be friends with anymore or to talk to him anymore. He has made many mistakes and errors in judgment, but to me, it's just not right for people to isolate a person and to tell people who to be friends with and to cause even more hurt & pain to even more people. Each person has a heart, mind, feelings, & soul, even that ex-boyfriend. The empathetic and compassionate side to me doesn't like seeing anyone in deep pain and hurt, even the ones who have caused the hurt and pain to some people. I just wish more people learned to stop attacking, judging, criticizing, and causing pain to each other which then results in Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence".This world would be a better place if more people were better friends to one another & learned to be more like the lyrics of this very song, "The Bridge Over Troubled Water". Your true friends are the ones who are there for you at your lowest points in your life - at your times of "troubled water". I dedicate this song to all people & as a reminder for people to strive to be more understanding, fair, patient, kinder to one another. Don't be so quick to attack and judge other people. Learn to be hear the other people out. Learn to be more empathetic and compassionate. And try your best to become better friends to people in general. A lot of people don't get why I'm still that ex-boyfriend's friend and why I haven't turned my back on him even after all the hurt & pain he has caused. Listen to the lyrics of this song and maybe then some people will understand.I don't think it's right to isolate anyone from having any friends, even the ones who have made many mistakes. It's not fair or right to isolate anyone. Each person does have a heart, soul, and feelings. I don't like seeing anyone in hurt & pain, even the ones who have screwed up a lot. That's not right or fair. The decent thing to do is to be a friend to those who are their lowest points in their life. That's why I do the things I do - be friends with people when most people have turned their backs on them. I also wish that Simon & Garfunkel would listen to their own "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and set aside their differences and learn to try to reach an understanding with one another and try to go on at least one tour together before they die. It would be good for their mind, heart, & soul to talk to each other again and to let go of grudges instead of staying angry or upset with one other until the day they die. There will be more peace, growth, and harmony if Simon & Garfunkel heard each other out and tried to be openminded and be nicer to one another and be like the lyrics of this song, "Bridge Over Troubled Water" song. I dedicate this song to all people in terms of striving to be better friends to one another. This is a beautiful and powerful song with meaningful lyrics. Thanks for uploading this song & video. Have a nice June!
