Love the Shangri-las! I saw them at in concert along with the Marvellettes and Shirley Alston-Reeves of the Shirelles. I got an autographed pic of the Shangri-las. Great show!

Ah, to be young & talented. Mary is 16 in this video & the Ganser twins are 17. Mary's older sister, Patti, came & went & eventually dropped out. One of the Ganser twins died in her early 20s from, I think, inflammation of the lining of the brain & the other twin died of breast cancer when she was in her early 40s. Their manager signed them to another company without getting out of the original company & the girls lost ALL of their royalties. But, while it lasted - WOW.
