These Guys were so Talented. Their Greatest Hits CD, is so Consistent. Great Music with " Killer Harmonies " - their Voices were made to go together like: Simon & Garfunkel, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Styx, Yes, James Taylor & Carole King, Hall & Oates ( among many others ). I Enjoyed seeing this Live. - Michael Caz - NYC -

One thing I liked about Seals and Crofts is that they usually sang LIVE. They rarely if ever lip sync'd when doing live performances. These two COULD ACTUALLY SING unlike many other artists that couldn't replicate their music outside the studio. Pure magic together.

What a backing band! Jeff Porcaro on drums and Louie Shelton on lead guitar. Porcaro is probably my all-time favorite drummer and Louie Shelton played guitar on as many records in the sixties and seventies as Jeff Porcaro did in the seventies and eighties.

The song is not about the hair!, it's about the beauty of the sound and the affection .

Well, Tommy, shouldn't you be looking at girl's hair, or are you a fucking homo?

This should be obvious, but apparently it needs to be pointed out and stressed: Long hair is NATURAL; it grows, all by itself. For most of recorded history men tended to wear their hair long (because it is NATURAL). It was only in the first of the 20th C. that long hair became unusual, and by mid-century society was so uptight, repressive, and perverse, that in the late 60's and early 70's it took a tremendous amount of courage to let one's hair grow out. That's one aspect that made it cool.

That's funny: As I was just watching this video I was thinking how cool the long hair on Seals and Crofts looked, especially the long hair flowing from the "the one guy [with] that same hat surgically attached to his head". By the way, he also has clothes surgically attached to his body and shoes surgically attached to his feet--that's why you never see him naked and barefoot.

No singing duo is more signature "Seventies" than Seals and Croft and no song is more signature Seals and Croft than this one. More the power to them! This song is the true spirit of the 70's: Natural, lite, easy, affectionate, loving, easy .... Summers with songs like this on the radio when radio was still important....
