A fine Randy Newman song from "Take It Easy With The Walker Brothers", the band's 1965 debut album. A most graceful rendition from 22-year-old Scott.

I personaly think Scott was blessed with his voice a Baritone Not many had his Hipnotic range!! When tou Listen to " I dont want to hear it anymore" and Make it eazy on yourself. These songs were classics! The 60s will always be my Era!

I recorded this track by accident off Radio Luxembourg one night on a reel to reel tape recorder. Later when I listened it completely blew me away. I became a profound admirer or Scott Walker and his musical talent from then on. An unsung genius.

Scott Walker - the best male version of this song. Dusty Springfield - the best female version. They both nailed it, though Dusty's interpretation is a tad more soulful, sultry, sexy, and smoldering. Thanks for posting.

i heard the PJ Proby and Dusty Springfield versions now and this one is most definitely the best!!! The rubatto opening! Tres idiotas saw the down thumb and thought it meant "I am curled up in the fetal position right now"

For me, Scott's cultured American accent really enhances his vocal even more than you would think possible

This was the song that made the public and critics sit up and take notice of Scott Walker. It was a standout track from the Walker Brothers first album "Take It Easy" for Phillips Records in 1965. Thanks for uploading this one.
