Here are the magical Browns singing Scarlet Ribbons in perfect unison... absolutely amazing. The video is in storyboard theme. I have recently been informed from another youtube user the following information :'Evelyn Danzig Levine, my great aunt, wrote Scarlett Ribbons.' She must have been a very beautiful lady to write such a song. :)

they sing the most perfect harmony I've heard. This song was sung by Edson Jessops girls when I was 8 years old at a community dinner. Always special to my memory.

My first thought was that the ribbons were from the sunrise streaming their colours across her bed. However, the last line about not knowing from where they came, does make it feel a little creepy.

Such a pretty song. Remember it from my childhood. It seems sad, and I had always assumed something happened to the girl.

I would be very freaked out if ribbons just appeared! She either stole them from another girl, or mom better lock up bc a creeper might be lurking outside the window... But no, it was just a miracle... Lol

I am 62 years old. My 3rd grade teacher introduced " Scarlet Ribbons " to our class.Mrs English, Clayton, Ok.I awoke this morning with " Scarlet Ribbons "on my mind. I will always remember how this song touched my heart as a child. I love it and pulled it up on YouTube this morning as I listened once again.Thank you Mrs. English for introducing this song to me. It taught me that childlike faithcan bring miracles. Miracles I have seen for myself. Thank you God.

I used to sing this song to my daughter, I would always change the line to, "when I heard Kristin in prayer". She heard the song on an oldies station when she was 30 and was surprised. She thought all those years I had made it up about her. :) What a beautiful song. Love it and the Browns. Thanks for the memories.

My Dad sang this to me every night before I'd go to sleep. And he would have turned the world upside down to get something for me. I could see him in the dark streets looking for ribbons for me!

The Browns - A Unique Group. I love their style and their soft mellow voices. Again it is a shame we do not have vocalist like the Browns today.
