I dunno, to me the way she sings it is almost like she's trying to hold it together, to convince herself that she's okay, but knows she's about to break. I love Arcade Fire's version, but Sara's version is just as emotional in my opinion :)

Interesting thing that happened with this song. Arcade fire puts out the original, and in my opinion, quote "my opinion" Peter Gabriele sings it the way it was meant to be sung. I know that's a counter intuitive comment because naturally It's an AF song, but I just feel it and hear it with this particular song, that it was meant for Peter Gabriele.

This is a wonderful version and I think it's on par with Arcade Fire's. They both give a very different feel but retain the soul of the song.

@killerbumble well yeah, thats why it is a question of taste ;-) I do like both of them, even if your are right about the lyrics rather suiting to a more melancholic voice.

@explodingdock Same lyrics, out of place feel. The others had a hostile feel to it, and the lyrics and voice added to it. Sara's highly edited voice and the way the song sounds way to happy just doesn't work for me.

@killerbumble well still the same lyrics, right?! ;-) it spite of being a cover, I think one shouldnt always compare everything directly. I love arcade fire, but this version is also a very good!

@explodingdock Dude, the original version is 10x better. Even Peter's version was amazing. Too me, she sounds way too happy, while the others you can hear the pain in their voice.
