The Battle of Britain was air campaign of the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) in World War Two during summer and autumn 1940 with bomb attacks against the British military and cities with intent to force the United Kingdom to capitulation or at least to prepare the invasion of the isle. Not least because of the voluntary pilots from different foreign nations the German Reich finally had to cancel the operation, an invasion could be prevented. Apart from Poland (No. 303 Polish Fighter Squadron, Dywizjon 303), Czechoslovakia (No. 310 Squadron) and Canada (No. 401 Squadron RCAF) in this song pilots from at least ten other nations took part, too.

Winston Churchill honored the pilots in August 1940 in a speech with this: "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few."

CAUTION!

I won't tolerate any racist, discriminatory or in any other form inappropriate comments! This song neither glorifies war, nor National Socialism, but should be considered as a historical work.

"No, we don't glorify anything, we just tell stories about things that have happened." (Rikard Sundén, Sabaton)

----------

Sabaton is a Swedish band,i don't understand why you would need their recognition. Also,i think it's safe to assume that those of you who ask for recognition for your country, weren't the ones who actually fought there,so pls stop with annoying comments

As much as I'm Canadian, and appreciate how the Canadian contribution to the Battle of Britain is mentioned in this song, it seems to not fit if the song's about fighter pilots from occupied countries (such as Poland and Czechoslovakia), since Canada wasn't occupied. Just a minor detail, still a great song.

I got to admit to withstand the mite of the Luftwaffe constant bombing the RAF did amazing to hold them off and the USA get all the credit for the air war hell no the RAF and Luftwaffe were the best only if the commanders of the Luftwaffe were more better the war may of been very different

Hey Nazi scum down there in the comment section. It's "hail" not "heil". My enemies should at least be smart enough to write their own greetings without errors!
