Beyonce name should not be listed as a main writer on the songwriting credits. When the song was already written and recorded. Beyonce and her father are industry bullies, making people give Beyonce credit she doesn't deserve.

omfg some people can be so vacuous this song was written for beyonce that's why he's singing in a higher register than he usually sings--to match it to her range--which is hard for him to reach. do you really think he doesn't notice this sounds weird with him singing?

Though I'm no fan of Beyonce, but I have to admit her version sounds much better. Of course, maybe Ryan Tedder was trying to sing it in a girls key, thus the falseto and rather weak entire chorus.
