I remember when that lying ass b*tch Beyoncé claimed she wrote this song.

Giving up some publishing credit is the price you have to pay and the deal you have to make when you're placing records with established stars. Most songwriters will give up a bit of credit to place a song with an artist that's sure to sell.

It's kinda weird that a song that is about a girl who's saying "I can have another you by tomorrow" to a guy, is actually written by a guy, in a guy perspective! XD

Dig the more casual feel instead of Beyoncé's melodramatics.

Ne-Yo shouldn't have sold the song in first place.Just took for example I Was Here, Beyoncé wasn't credited.

Beyonce took credit because she wrote the harmony, and Ne-Yo defended her. Check out: Ne-Yo Interview at The Breakfast Club Power 105.1 Skip to 7:25.

Beyoncé is such a bitch. She totally took credits for writing the song when it was Ne-Yo who wrote it e_e

Why did they ever decide to get rid of the bangin' beat? The final version is flat as hell.

I really like this version. I won't jump into the songwriting debate here, but will say that over the last 15+ years the way that songs are credited has changed. For example, most old school songs have 2 to 3 writers at most, with the exception of bands that write their own material like The Beatles or Rolling Stones. Nowadays, many pop songs will have 5+ writers. Songwriting is like a marriage and can you imagine being married to four other people? Unless polygamy floats your boat. Jk. Lol.This, in my opinion, has contributed to a decline in quality. Too many cooks spoil the broth. That's why arrangers, producers and musicians are credited separately. These practices can drive away artists who believe enough in themselves to not give others undue credit for their hard work. Dolly Parton was one of those people. Elvis wanted credit for I'll Always Love You and offered her good money for her song. She refused and kept her song, and the rest is history.

Beyonce's forever taking someone else's music and adding her own writing credits. Remember that song that was sung by a call 'Smack Into You', Beyonce did it, the ONLY difference was she changed the word 'Smack' to 'Smash' and all of a sudden she's listed as a writer.

Ne-Yo co-wrote this song with Bey but after he sung it he realised how it came off when it was sung by a guy so he "decided to give it away" (his own words). The only reason he was a bit offended was because on one occasion Beyonce said "I wrote this one for my girls" before the song came on during a performance which is incorrect seeing as they both co-wrote it.

People do ur research. Neyo wrote the song but thought: it doesnt sound right when a man sings it, so he gave the song to Bey. Stupid ass haters.

Neyo will say all the political correct stuff to keep him working in the industry. But as you can see action speaks louder than words....... She hasnt cut another Neyosong since Irreplaceable. Neyo knows she tried to jack his song.and Pretend it was all her! That is the reason why he wrote Go on girl. The true writer can write a song very simular to Irreplaceable. Neyo was that writer! Good job great song!

Hahaaa why does Neyo do that too himself! Write the hits for everyone else and keeps the basic lyrics for himself

last chrous, beyonc change it to "You can pack all your bags we’re finished Cause you made your bed now lay in it". this wasn't in the original demo.

original irreplaceable didn't have "to the left" in the middile break down? it was "you must not know about me" then beyonce change it "to to the left" . and now everyone remeber the song as "to the left"

beyonce helped me with the melodies and the harmonies and the vocal arrangement and that makes it a co-write. Meaning my contribution and her contribution made that song what it is." "She wasn't trying to discredit me, she wasn't trying to take any credit from me, Beyonce is not that kind of person, I know her personally and I know that she wouldn't do me like that."
