Presto is one of my all time favorite albums by Rush. It is a very underrated album to many fans. That is why I chose this song War Paint to make a slideshow of the band over the years. Enjoy.

i couldn't agree more!the period beginning with "Signals" and culminating with "Presto" showed a remarkable artistic jump for Rush. they never lost their musicianship, they only gained a musicality that put their skills in the service of the song. meanwhile their songwriting gained both a greater accessibility and deeply personal perspective. on the production front, the audio fidelity was/ is of such a high calibre that it sounds better than most contemporary rock (sad to say, including some of Rush's own more recent endeavors)."real" rush fans tend to dismiss this period of their career, but it is when i started listening and it caught my imagination. i own all their records (even the old ones and the newest ones), i have seen them 7 times over the years (beginning with the hold your fire tour, as a kid)... i count neil as one of my all-time influences as a drummer (although i'd like to think i don't play anything like him), but also as a lyricist precisely because of this phase of their career. maybe i am not a "real" fan because i prefer "Hand Over Fist" to "Bytor and the Snow Dog" but if so, i am okay with that...thank you

Hold Your Fire, and Power Windows were good, but they got back to being the power trio with Presto, and Roll the Bones..

Thank You, Bobo. Saw them a mo. ago in Vancouver & was knocked out. Discovered I couldn't do w/out Rush, so started going thru their catalog & became reborn. I'm their age, & of course thought they were great all along... but Man! Presto really reached me. It's my fav. The Pass was on the set list, & I didn't even know what I was hearing at the time!! I love them.

Congrats on a very well made video tribute! I've been a fan since 1978 and I've never seen many of these photos. See you on the tour! RUUUUUSSSSSSSHHHH!

I have to agree with Bobo here, Hold Your Fire was probably their weakest album ever. The whole synth heavy tracks thing was getting tiresome. I thought Presto was a step in the right direction.

Presto is an amazing album, probably my favorite right there with Hemispheres. For me presto marked a point and time when the band should have left behind their classic rock approach and entered into a less plugged in more accoustic jazz approach.

I agree. Great album. I still find myself humming and singing these songs at work. I went to the Presto concert. Been to many since, but I do love this album:)

not even i think vapor trails is where rush peaked, simply because after that geddy can't sing 90% of the rush catalog as well as he could in his hayday. musically they'll always be with it imo
