If I could wave my magic wand...... I would've been 18 in 1974, so I could've been there from the start. So much love and respect for these gentlemen- their determination, artistry, precision and humor.

I had a dream of the open waterI was swimming out to seaSo deep I could never touch bottom...I read somewhere that Geddy travels all over the world with his wife and takes pictures of everything, and his wife says, "Ged, put down your camera and just be in the moment" or something like that. My husband and I travel all over the world and he always says the same thing to me, although usually the only reason I'm there (even in perilous places) is to get great pictures. The next day after I read that, I dreamed that I walked out on some long walkway out to the deep sea to get closer to photograph the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen...and when I was far out I could go no further I fell into the deep water. I could not retrieve my camera. I think that's how to live...lost in the depths and in the most beautiful sunset you've ever seen with no camera but you're own eye, your own soul

Probably their only decent album after Grace. Although the snare sounds a bit wooden

I'm not one to go pointing my fingers, when I radiate more heat than light. He admits many ideas and inspirations that could change society. . but he lacks the power to offer a guiding light to others, he just simply doesnt wield the power of politicians and world-shapers. Sometimes I think Neil is a socialist from many of his lyrics. . .i realize he is really speaking more of an anti- national sovereignty stance. WHich really doesn't necessarily indicate a lean toward socialism. "The trees" clearly warns of the consequences of socialism. He is hard to figure out.

This song has a sense of playfulness about it that makes it a joy to listen to.I especially like the way the it builds up during each verse, Alex graduallygoes from acoustic to electric and then that soaring lead. Ahhhhh...

Love the way Rush lyrics are sometimes said by other legends in years to come (not intentionally, but in the same sense) - ''I am made from the dust of the stars'' was something Christopher Hitchens touched on in one of his debates about god he had against some rabbi.
