I find it funny that you think Roger was the weak link.Pete says they hired him because they needed a big tough guy to keep from getting their asses kicked.He was the original lead guitar & founded the Detours which became the Who. The singer is always the signature sound of the band and without that it's hard for any band to continue with the magic. Look at all the different bands who just fell apart after losing their singer. The Doors, Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, etc!!

I personally think that Geddy's voice sounds much more natural for this song. Both versions are great, but Rush's is my favorite hands down. Rock on.

I'm a huge who fan but as brilliant as they were, I'm not blind (or deaf) to the fact that Rog was the weak link in the chain. He had moments of brilliance but was hardly a genius. I prefer this version. And if you had heard this one before the other you might agree.

I soppose tie ain't bad, but sayin it's better then the original is silly. No one and I keen no one can cover any who song and sing it better, but I like the way tie guy sings
