this and Aerosmith's You See Me Crying may be among the most beautifully sorrowful rock songs ever.

Superb song, Genesis-or Dead Can Dance like melancholy, but maybe a somewhat lower voice would have turned it from near perfect to perfection... It"s a guess, I'd love to hear some contributions here on Youtube by people with more melancholic, less high pitched vocals. That is something else than saying I don't like Rush or Lee's vocals on let's say The Mission etc. But maybe, just maybe here his voice isn't the most suited. Another great melancholic Rush song is "Different Strings"

This song is so melancholy. It's still moving over 30 years later. The "strings" at the just make you want to give it all up and succumb to the tragedy. In a good way :-) Great as it was/is, it's not an upbeat album. Which is why I identified with it throughout my teenage years.

Der Inspektor My Father Henry was called to Glory in '03. The tears I cry are tears of joy and celebration for the man that gave me life, but the thanks I offer goes to my Father in heaven. He is the true giver of life, I return to His loving hand in prayer and give thanks for each day. Death is not the end, It's the beginning!
