After listening to vapor trails remixed for a month straight, it was.... Odd listening to the original for the first time today. I underestimated the difference. Mike V says he can't get used to the remix, but I can get used to the original

I just can't get used to these remixed versions. I think it's that they didn't really just clean up the music, but added a lot to it, as well (such as the solo in this song). Was kinda hoping they'd have taken the original songs and just removed the clipping, and get some more dynamics back into the songs. People had been doing this independently, and there are walk-throughs you can find online for it. I think those are overall better representations of the songs.As bad as the mix was of the original release, it had a kind of "punch" and energy to it that seems to have been lost in this remaster.That's just me, though... shrug.

i love the remix, but actually don't like the solo on this one!! feels tacked on (which it is) and takes away from the "balls" of that section....to me at least.

Producer David Bottrill added a solo in the first lead break from Alex Lifeson, that's at the 4:00 minute mark I believe. I'm glad he put that in!
