Excellent job. My brother, Roger, a U.S. hero (Viet Nam) would fit this song well. He "moved on" and is thought about every day; especially when I hear songs like this. I see you Canadians are no different than us U.S. guys. Your music is ours, too.

Roy. I remember u sharing your songs n stories at Riverview High School during the 80's. You sang to us "Yesterday's Wine". While everyone was listening to Bryan Adams, u gave us songs that really hit home especially those songs that describe real life and heartaches.

Hello, Mr. Payne. You came to visit my high school around 1989-90, to talk about your life and play us some tunes. I've always appreciated a good story song, and I was just getting into the likes of Dylan, back then...so, for me, it was quite an interesting way to spend a portion of an afternoon. One of the songs you played was called "Born On The 4th Of July", I believe.Thank you so much for serving our beautiful country! And have a good day (or evening, depending on when you read this). :)

Roy. I know you have had a hard life by times, but it's so nice to see you looking so good after all these years. I have loved and been a fan of your music and your story to hell and back for a great many of years, I moved to northern Sweden back in the mid 80s and took your record album with me,my friends over there loved you. I couldn't leave your's behind!! my life has been hard from a young age but I always found peace in having a few and playing your album God bless you Roy!! Wendell in PEI

Lovely song! You both have good voices that complement one another very nicely. Keep up the good work and do write more songs, Roy. You certainly have a talent for it.
