Wow. Had to share this. I only knew Roy Clark from, "Pickin' and Grinnin' " from when I used to watch Hee-Haw on TV with my parents as a little kid. I had no idea that he was so versatile! I used to watch The Odd Couple back then too, but I don't remember this episode. ...Although 1971 would have been a bit too early for me.

I'm speechless. I watched Roy Clark on Hee Haw for years as a kid and never knew he could play like that.

Killer guitar work; thanks for posting. *If you enjoy great guitar work, do yourself a favor & also check out: Brother Yusef's Fattback Instrumental Jam 1! It's a different, more foot stompin' style, but the dude is 1 HECK of a GREAT guitarist! Check it out & you'll be in for another real treat. **Don't let his name dissuade you, he's not Iranian

All this time I thought Dave Mustane invented speed metal. Turns out it was the big guy from Hee Haw. Ya really do learn something new every day.

At no point in this video is Roy finger picking. Not saying he isn't great, or this vid isn't great, just that you are wrong.

I'm surprised he didn't break a string!

I'm always amazed that a man with cucumbers for fingers can play so cleanly and quickly with that much dexterity. SRV was the same way.

Very good-for this style I'm surprised he didn't use a flamenco/classical guitar instead of a steel strung martin...:)
