I saw Roy play once in a little theatre in Bethlehem PA in the 70s when I was in high school. We were waiting in the parking lot before the show, and a station wagon with Virginia plates pulled up next to my car. It was Roy and his family! Kids tumbled out of the car, McDonalds wrappers all around the seats, and Roy went to the back of the car and lifted out his guitar case. I jumped out and ran over to him and shook his hand! And the show that night? Awesome!

I love Roy but its a shame that he was reduced to playing in high school gyms and taping his t-shirt to the wall in hopes that someone would buy one or two. Very sad.
