Another shaky recording from the LG Arena Birmingham January 2011. Bryan Ferry singing to perfection the 'Country Life' track-Prairie Rose. I hear the 80s group 'Big Country' covered this - must look it up sometime.

Nice to see a live version of this song. The only thing wrong are the Texas motifs appearing in the background. Whoever put this together has the mistaken belief that the tall saguaro cactus are typical Old-West icons to be encountered here. They're not. Only in Arizona-California-Mexico desert area. Just sayin'.

I would absolutely love to see a Roxy Music tour again here in the states and would travel to see them multiple times. I highly recommend the "Live At The Apollo" DVD and if "Avalon" doesn't bring a tear (or 2) to your eyes you probably have the sound muted...

How do you not acknowledge Phil's b-day?... was it really this day? Would have been nice to get him in some shot, any shot!..and wth happens around 4:15?....does Andy hand off his sax to some scantily clad backup bitch and walk off?

2:28....nice shot of some fuckers head instead of Phil on his epic solo!...Worst seating I ever saw, I'd get my fucking money back!!

Big Country did cover it, look around on YT. They get an A for effort and having good taste but a C or D for execution. Prairie Rose is low enough to still be within BF's range, he doesn't have to rely on the backup singers to help carry the lead. Andy and Phil acquit themselves wonderfully. Hope RM come to the U.S. one more time. Like Seattle, not that I wouldn't go to Vancouver B.C. again to see them as in '01.

Bryan should have started off with Happy Birthday to Phil. We'd have all sung our little hearts out. What a great guitarist he is, and still with us, unlike poor Gary Moore, gone at 58. Come on Bryan, lets get one great Roxy album out before you all peg it!

I wished we'd sang happy birthday to Phil, but how do you get 13000 people to sing it I wish Bryan would have started us off. I can't believe these guys are in their 60s. Blimey, this might be the last time we see them! Poor Gary Moore pegged it at 58. What a great track this is.

Ooh, one more recording definitely for my pleasure, thank you! (Why do you say it’s shaky? It’s okay!)
