thank you once again ,Brian, for your interesting infos! ..to think that we have both known and loved Rosie ..practically all our life! Like you I've always loved this song and, we will always remember it as the flip-side of 'Mambo Italiano' ..how old were we when it came out ..it seems so long ago, and yet so near ! : )

Frankie Laine, who composed this song with his pianist Carl Fischer, was born on 30 March 1913 - so Frankie's Centenary passed just a few days ago. He used 'We'll Be Together Again' as the closing theme to his 1950s TV series, but through the years so many other major stars recorded the song - including Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. Rosie's recording is there with the best, and was in fact the first version I ever heard and bought on 78.
