I so agree, the way he sings “surround” is fantastic. This recording is truly one of Nelson and Frank's masterpieces. I have always been amazed at how Frank puts so much feeling into just one word. For instance, listen to how he sings "aaaaaaaagain" at the end, he glides through the word like no other singer, and in the lower range no less which is so hard to sing at. I'm not sure any other performer could pull the intensity of that note and word off. Just amazing!

Absolutely masterful...both vocally and the arrangement. Nelson Riddle has never arranged a more beautiful melody. And Sinatra just sings the soulful hell out of the song. Listen, in particular, for his phrasing on the word "surround" toward the end of the song. He vocally surrounds the word itself; amazing.
