I have been playing music since I was a kid. I have heard so many great guitarist, and I think Rory was in a league of his own. He wasn't only an amazing guitarist, but an artist of great magnitude in every sense of the word. I would have lovvved to have been able to see him in concert. I was touring Ireland a few years back and in a library in Limrick they had a museum dedicated to him. His Fender and many other items were there, and it was touching and special for me to be able to be there.

Not only is Rory playing a d-35, it was vintage when Rory bought it. It aint no cheapie, I got mine used for $1550 and consider it a bargain, It is a 2005, Rory's is early 60's I believe. Rosewood, ebony and select spruce.

@NintendoSinceBirth1 I know, I was responding to someone commenting on the price of Martins. I was stating that the DX model is the lowest end of Martin but is great for the money. I saw Rory a couple of times in the early 70s, I used to go to the John when he brought out the acoustic.......I was an idiot!

@roryisgoed You can buy a Martin DX for 500 bucks, nothing fancy, not a great finish, but for the money sounds great.
