Hendrix, Gallagher, and Page, are all supposedly "sloppy," but they improvised like mad. That's the reason they're "sloppy." People like satriani and whatever, they all practice their studio songs and of course it'd be hard to mess up when you plan that much in advance. In conclusion, If you like that planned stuff, fine. you can enjoy Rory's music and still hear that yes indeed he was a bit sloppy and Satrani or Malsteen are not, however it's not all chops it's the feeling evoked , thats why Gilmore was the greatest Gutar player ever, Maybe Clapton had better Tech. skillz but Clapton was souless and could not ever make one weep as Glimore can. Enjoy Rory for what he was and let the debate go already!
