always pissed me off that major media always played the Dave Bowie space song when covering a space mission and NEVER played the Stones 2000 light years which IMO is better. If not better IYO it's friggin awesome anyway! It's those damn dirty Stones again! This live version is not so good but the album version is a masterpiece.

Bill Wyman suggested to play this one live, at the time. Theatrically it gave them some extra possibilities and it was a nice break from the more usual stuff. Brian Jones was for the biggest part responsible for this more experimental side to the Stones.
