Rod's voice doesn't make every song good, but it does on this. Sometimes he screws a song up. I was not surprised that Rod turned to classics and girlie music that Arnold likes. Jodie is an average song made great; Me For Mine is just amazingly sung. First Cut is the Deepest improves on Cat Stevens.

i remember this song coming on the radio as i was driving to college knowing full well my girlfriend at the time was unfaithful and the end was near. i love this song cause i soon met and fell in love with a green eyed beauty who i married. it reminds me that happy is always just around the corner if you pay attention.
