2 anos depois de Come Hell or High Water, essa apresentação mostra como o Ritchie ñ sentia mais nenhum tesão em estar com o Deep Purple...

@KellyMallory you need 1 year to be good at your instrument and you may had been playing 80 and still be mediocre.that does not make you an expert.your opinions are ok the other bs not.rainbow is better with turner in my opinion, but doogie is a greater singer than all the above mentioned.listen doogie with cornerstone.

No offense and with all due respect to those who enjoy this type of music......This video doesn't deserve to be titled Rainbow.

...and so is born Blackmore's Night (should be "Night's Blackmore"), and so passes on into classic rock history it's greatest guitar player ever...

About 69-73, that's a personal point of view, i prefer Rainbow with Dio/Powell any time over DP. And of course you need a good band, I didn't say DP was bad, I said he "made" them what they were. DP doesn't work with any other guitar as it does with Ritchie.. as Rainbow would. Basically the "soul" of DP were Lord and Blackmore, Blackmore was prolly more visible through his riffge. And about your last statement, for the records, I am playing guitar for 21 years.

The point is, Ritchie WANTS to do "tralala" music, or do you really think he is doing something he doesn't want to play? This traditional stuff is more Blackmore than 90% of all Deep Purple can ever. Problem is, most people are Deep Purple or Rainbow fans... not Blackmore fans. But Ritchie MADE those bands what they were.

just in case you're not joking... Blackmore loves this kind of stuff - it's totally what ppl DON'T expect from a rock star. And in Doogie he's got the perfect accomplice. And he sings Love Hurts pretty damn good too.
